VSO builds programmes that support educators, governments and communities to modernize wangle to better quality learning. Last year we supported 325,000 children and adults. Inclusive education All virtually the world, thousands of children are excluded from education considering of their gender, powerlessness or background. We work with communities, schools and governments to make sure education is for everyone. Examples of VSO projects making a real difference in the lives of marginalised children include: Improving learning for vulnerable girls in Nepal Getting children with disabilities when to school in Ghana Technology in education In the context of huge education challenges, technology is increasing the scale and reach of our work improving learning. Our edutech projects wideness Africa and Asia have brought well-nigh improved: student engagement teacher effectiveness and motivation transparency for communities monitoring and evaluation Education pilots that have harnessed technology to unhook strong results include: Accelerated learning through tablet technology Delivering literacy via SMS ©VSO/Mussa Uwitonze Training teachers We are working to end the global teacher shortage, and modernize teaching quality and school management. We support working teachers and school leaders, as well as training 50,000 pre-service teachers last year vacated by working with teacher training institutions. We're investing in the people with the power to transpiration education for good, including by: Supporting special educational needs teaching in Rwanda Helping teachers modernize English language learning in Cambodia Other areas of work Improving livelihoods Secure, reliable wangle to supplies and income so people can live with independence and dignity.
