Since 2013, we’ve had a strategic partnership with Irish Aid under the Volunteering Initiative, delivering successful programmes in Uganda (inclusive education), Ethiopia (maternal and neonatal health) and Zambia (good governance). In 2017, we were delighted to launch two new Irish Aid funded programmes in Karamoja, one of the poorest and most marginalised regions of Uganda. These are focusing on improving and extending education and health services to girls and young women in particular, and in doing so perfectly complement each other. These programmes will be implemented by Irish and Ugandan volunteers, working closely with local partner organisations to maximise impact.
